COVID-19 restrictions may make life seem a little dull as many events are being postponed until restrictions can be lifted. Unfortunately, special days such as birthdays and anniversaries cannot be postponed. With that being said, with most restaurants, stores and activities closed, how do you make the day special?
Luckily, Renfrew is home to many amazing stores, salons, and restaurants that are offering alternatives to make any celebration one to remember.
1. Order dinner from a local restaurant
Who doesn’t love eating good food on their special day? Ordering a favourite meal from one of these restaurants will be sure to make any celebration fun. Most restaurants in Renfrew are still open for delivery and take out. Check out the previous blog post, Treat Yourself and Support Local Restaurants, for a list of all restaurants that are currently open and what they have to offer.
2. Organize a post quarantine spa day
All salons in Renfrew are currently closed, however, most are selling gift cards for when they reopen. You can purchase gift cards for a mani & pedi, a haircut, eyelash extensions, etc. The receiver of the gift will be able to look forward to being pampered, post-quarantine. Does your loved one have a favourite salon? Visit that salon’s social media pages to be updated on any products or gift cards they may be selling.
3. Send flowers
A bouquet of flowers can brighten anyone’s day. Renfrew has two beautiful flower shops- Ray’s Flowers and The Flower Factory. You can pick up and hand-deliver flowers to your loved one, or have them delivered to their front door. Both shops include a card with a persoanlized message on each bundle they deliver. Visit their websites to see what they have to offer:

Although not all stores are open for in-store shopping, many are still offering curbside pick up or online orders from their websites. Advertisements for current products can be found on their websites and social media pages. Many sales are going on at different stores right now, which makes this a perfect opportunity to stock up on gifts.
